My Katie and other tiny bit of me

Hi Everyone,

Hope your fall is crisp and beautiful. I have had a lovely summer and fall.  My sisters came to visit, which was beyond wonderful.

My two young doggies are doing well Penny (the golden) and Maggie (German shepherd) The pool is close to closing and Penny sits at the gate crying and guess what..I let her swim! Maggie just loves to chase her and jump on her in the pool.  Maggie does the original German S Cannon Ball!

My darling sweetheart Katie is not up to par. She is over 14 years old and time is catching up to her. She is now quiet and not quite herself and to admit her time is close was so hard for me. I have moved her big doggie  pillow right by me...she sleeps by me, sits by me while i work or watch TV...Her appetite has not been so good, so I am making her special foods and also buying little doggie speciality foods and taking time to spoon feed her. I always wonder how or when or why this has to happen..Of course I do understand it rationally but ugh its so hard.  I can't imagine walking into the kitchen or outside and not having her tag along. People say you will know they give signs..and i think, what if i don't listen for the signs..I  hope to have her around for Christmas but then i question if I'm selfish and i want quantity vs quality.

I had to get this off my chest.. I hope your not the one reader that comes and reads this blog and I depress you..but this is a form of therapy for me.
